0.13.3 is now available on all platforms! This release includes many fixes and improvements across all platforms, paving the way for what comes next, Android TV and Android Auto.

What's new in 0.13.3
Newly Released is now on Home. Albums are ordered by their actual release date, separate from Recently Added, which is based on when you added the album to your Plex library. Each card also shows the release month.
Random album sort. Albums can now be sorted randomly everywhere. Pick Random again and Lagu re-rolls the order.
Android transcodes can finally be scrubbed. If Plex is transcoding your music, the seek bar works again. You can scrub through the parts Lagu has already fetched instantly, while jumping ahead shows real buffering. Once a track has been fully cached, replaying it doesn't need to hit the server again.
iPhone resumes when your car's Bluetooth comes back. Lagu now recognizes when the car reconnects and resumes playback. A pause you made yourself will never be overridden. There is still one edge case with very long parking where iOS may suspend the app completely — if you run into that, please let me know.
Filter by audio format. Songs and Albums can now be filtered by formats like FLAC, ALAC, and MP3 across every platform. An album matches if any of its tracks matches. This requires a current Plex Media Server; on older servers, the Format option simply won't appear.
Year is everywhere it was missing. Album cards show the year when using the Year sort, Songs now have a Year sort, and Album Year and Album Decade are available when building smart-playlist rules.
Playlist descriptions and custom covers finally show. Playlist descriptions are now visible across every platform, and uploaded playlist artwork is actually used instead of Plex's automatically generated four-up grid.
Star ratings can be hidden three ways. On desktop and iPhone, you can choose Everywhere, Not in lists, or Nowhere. "Not in lists" keeps ratings available in Now Playing while removing them from library rows.
Desktop updates are less intrusive. A small update card tells you when a new version is available, but nothing downloads until you ask it to. Once downloaded, you can restart when you're ready. Dismissing an update keeps that version quiet.
Last.fm now warns about double scrobbling. If you're scrobbling through both Plex and Lagu, the Last.fm settings will let you know that the same play could otherwise be counted twice.
Fixed
- Lyrics missing when playing from a playlist on desktop. Lyrics could disappear when playing from a playlist, radio, or random queue, and in some cases would stay missing for the rest of the session. Both causes have been fixed.
- Album Bitrate sorting with multiple libraries. Bitrate sorting was hidden on some platforms when libraries were merged, while Android could sort using an empty value. It now uses the actual quality of each album and displays the bitrate being sorted on.
- The "1,374 albums / no albums yet" issue on iPhone. A cold library cache could show the album count while simultaneously claiming there were no albums. It now shows "Building your library..." until the library has actually loaded.
- Impossible filters on iPhone. A filter with no possible results could get stuck building forever instead of correctly showing No results.
- Android empty-library flashes. Changing a sort, filter, or library could briefly show the empty state while the new data was loading. It now shows a proper loading state.
- Android landscape queue and lyrics. These panels could collapse to nothing in landscape; they now sit alongside the artwork properly.
- Apple TV Format filtering. The Format menu now actually appears when supported.
- Apple TV Home. Recently Added could appear twice on Home.
- Apple TV Last.fm. The Last.fm toggle now works correctly.
- Apple TV Siri Remote. Play/pause now works from Now Playing.
- Desktop Hide star ratings. The setting could be ignored during the first render; it now applies reliably.
- Desktop window naming. The desktop app and taskbar entry are now called Lagu, rather than
lagu-desktop.
- Recently Added on iPhone. Cards now show both the artist and date, such as "Artist · Mar 3".
- Desktop filter chips. They now have a visible hover state.
- Linux remote host pairing. A failed port bind no longer leaves the remote host appearing alive but unusable, and connection/pairing failures now leave useful information in the log. If Android → Linux pairing still fails for you, please open a report — a firewall is currently the leading suspect.

Many of the issues and bugs that have been fixed were reported by you guys! So I wanted to again say thank you for trying Lagu and submitting your feedback and issues! I have fallen a bit behind on replies recently in the lead up to this release, and will be working through the newer bug reports and fixes for the next version (0.14.0), which will also include the first build of Android TV and Android Auto, I will be working to get Amazon developer credentials and hopefully getting Lagu on the Fire TV store as well!
